High School Admissions (Ages 16-19)

Our internationally recognised High School programme provides a rigorous and inspiring education for students preparing for university and creative careers.

  • Entry Requirements: Applicants are typically expected to have completed the equivalent of 10 years of schooling with a strong academic record. For pathways with a significant art or design component, a portfolio showcasing creative potential may be requested or beneficial. English language proficiency appropriate for study at this level is essential.
  • Application Process and Deadlines: Applications are submitted online via our portal. Key components include academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal essay outlining your interests and aspirations, and potentially an interview. Undergraduate Admissions (BA & BSc Programmes)

Our Bachelor’s degrees equip students with the knowledge, skills, and vision to excel in the creative and technological industries.

  • Academic Prerequisites: Applicants must hold a recognised secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to the Swiss Matura, International Baccalaureate, A-Levels, or a US High School Diploma with appropriate AP courses. Specific subject prerequisites may apply depending on the chosen programme (e.g., mathematics or sciences for technology-focused degrees).
  • Portfolio Requirements: For most BA programmes in art and design, and some BSc programmes with a strong design element, submission of a portfolio is a critical component of the application. Postgraduate Admissions (MA & MSc Programmes)

  • Degree-Specific Entry Criteria: Applicants must typically hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a recognised university with a strong academic record. Specific GPA requirements or equivalent may apply. For research-intensive programmes, a preliminary research proposal may be required.
  • Portfolio / Research Proposal Submission: Creative MA programmes will require an advanced portfolio demonstrating a high level of skill and conceptual maturity. MSc and research-focused MA programmes often require a detailed research proposal outlining the intended area of investigation, research questions, and methodology.

International Applicants

Marist Eastbay warmly welcomes applications from students around the world. We understand that applying from overseas can involve additional considerations.

  • Visa Support: Our International Office provides guidance and support for students requiring a Swiss student visa. We advise accepted students to begin the visa application process as early as possible.
  • English Language Proficiency: As all programmes are taught in English, applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of proficiency through a recognised test (e.g., IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band for undergraduate, and 7.0 overall for postgraduate, or equivalent TOEFL/PTE scores). Specific requirements may vary slightly by programme.
  • Credential Evaluation: Academic transcripts from outside Switzerland may need to be officially translated and evaluated to determine their equivalency.
